His approach
Dr. López's training sits at the intersection of two disciplines — rehabilitation medicine, which is concerned with restoring function, and interventional pain management, which treats pain at its anatomical source. That combination shapes how he practices: identify what is actually generating the pain, treat that structure directly with the least invasive option that fits, and measure success by what you can do again, not only by what hurts less.
What he measures himself against with every patient is function — getting you back to the activities that pain took off the table, with as little medication as possible.
Outside the office
Dr. López is a husband and the proud parent of three boys, who keep him busy with biking, boating, and sporting activities. He is an avid mountain biker and cyclist, and serves as Vice President of the Puerto Rico Physicians Association of North Florida — work he values for the chance to give back to the Hispanic community already here and to families still relocating to the area.
